Representative General Staff visited me on February 28th

to say how gratified they were that unfortunate incident in which

Army Air Service was involved had been satisfactorily settled.

He went on to say reports from their military authorities in

South China laid great stress on valuable help and co-operation

given by Captain Boxer of General Staff which had facilitated and

expedited settlement to a large extent.

He added this was another example of great benefit

resulting from presence of Liaison officers on both sides who

knew each others mentality and language.
